Responsibilities include: *Interface with mission commander and home station training lane IEDD-Observer Controller / Trainers regarding training of the units, development and execution of scripts during rotations, pre-rotational briefings, and after-action meetings and reports. *Provide in-depth assessments, oral and written, of unit performance and present feedback to the unit using the After Action Review process at the completion of the exercise. Provide direction, advice, counsel, and assistance to any OPFOR or COB personnel that augment the live training experience. *Prepare, update and teach the use of Improvised Explosive Devices-Defeat (IED-D) training aids, devices and simulators. *Attend necessary meetings and conferences to maintain awareness of current theater issues, IEDD capabilities, and new IEDD devices and training aids. Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent - More than 6 years prior military experience with demonstrated leadership in training and assessing - Experience in employing Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) in live training - Proof of US citizenship or US permanent residency - Valid State Driver's License Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. This position might also call for repeated bending/climbing/standing in inclement weather conditions Deployment in support of Operations: - Knowledgeable in all range operations, capabilities, and procedures - Practical working knowledge of IED Defeat and Counter IED organization and doctrine - A working knowledge of counterinsurgency operations and doctrine is desired. - Secret clearance required Parsons offers an ethical, challenging, diverse, rewarding and fun work experience where enthusiastic, responsible people use their energy, talent and dedication to make a difference in the world.
