Transaction Banking Analytics (AVP) recruitment

Transaction banking comprises of commercial banking products and services for Corporate clients and Financial Institutions, including domestic and cross-border payments, professional risk mitigation for international trade and the provision of trust, agency, depository, custody and related services.  Business Units include Cash management, Trade Finance, Capital market Sales and Trust and Securities Services.

The successful candidate will be a key point of contact for the UK/ EMEA Transaction banking Finance Managers and will also liaise directly with business stakeholders and become a trusted advisor to them in providing analytical support.

Role responsibilities:

• To provide analytical support for business solutions – provide innovative solutions to business requirements, review new structures and business opportunities. This will include country benchmarking, profitability, operating models, client analysis, risk profiles.

• To work closely with the businesses and Transaction Banking’s finance manager’s to help develop analysis, to assist in product initiatives to ensure assumptions are accurate.,

• To help develop value based metrics across the various products and regions to support the business.

• To develop and enhance the relationship and business knowledge of the Professional Service Centre

• To provide analytical support in changes in financial control and to understand and implement these changes to the Service Centre.

Skills/ Requirements

• Degree or equivalent

• Qualified accountant

• The candidate should have a strong background in the financial services industry and previous experience in a business support function is preferred. Through this experience the candidate should be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of financial products and demonstrate successful networking abilities across the functions of an investment bank.

• Ideally experience with transaction banking products: loans, deposits etc

• The candidate will need to be able to demonstrate  exposure to all financial aspects of a business including PL, balance sheet and risk and to be able understand the metrics that drive a business, i.e. product or financial control background

• Personable, confident, autonomous and ambitious. They will need to be a strong communicator and demonstrate good networking skills.

• Microsoft Office suite
