The Payments and Cash Management department are responsible for developing and running CBA's transaction banking product suite including Cash Management, Payables, Receivables, Corporate Cards, International Payments and Merchant Solutions.

Merchant Solutions is dedicated to exceeding the expectations of CBA's business customers by offering innovative and compelling banking solutions, supported by a simple and easy origination experience.  Merchant Solutions work closely with BPB and IBM sales and distribution channels to provide solutions that cover all transaction banking needs.

The Major Transactions team within the Merchant Solutions business consists of two teams - the Pricing team and the Sales Engagement team.

The Pricing team is responsible for maintaining, implementing and monitoring pricing for all transaction banking products, as well as assisting our Sales Segments acquire new to Bank customers. 

The Sales Engagement team is responsible for assisting and training our stakeholder groups to ensure that our stakeholders are knowledgeable in Merchant Solutions products. 

Role Purpose:

Manage strategic and tactical pricing for the Bank's Transaction Banking product suite across sales segments. Be accountable for generating revenue, maintaining competitive pricing whilst balancing margins, recommend initiatives to enhance business profitability, drive market share, minimise revenue leakage and assist in customer acquisition and retention.

Key Accountabilities:

Transaction Banking Pricing: Manage a customer-driven team for transaction banking pricing requirements across the bank's sales channels.

Industry research: Provide watching briefs and perform ad hoc analysis as required by the business (including industry, market and competitor) and interpret and communicate results.

Leadership: Provide direct management and leadership of your team and complete associated tasks.

Operational metrics: Establishment of performance against operational benchmarks.

Risk Management / Compliance: Ensure that you, and any team members under your direct leadership, comply with the Group's Occupational Health and Safety policy, all other internal Group policies and procedures, and any relevant external legislative requirements.

Internal and External Client / Customer Service

Other: Collaborate and assist in positioning CBS' other products within the context of providing an overall solution to a client. Undertake any other tasks as required that you have the capability to perform safely.
