Transaction Expense Management Analyst recruitment

Within CIB Markets Central, the Global Markets Transaction Expense Analytics Management (TEAM) partners with CIB products - sales and trading - to provide value added services that help optimize trade flow strategies and identify opportunities to reduce costs in an effort to maximize profitability. TEAM leverages product expertise to develop initiatives that focus on specific action items that create savings along the entire life-cycle of a trade, from execution to settlement. To accomplish this goal, TEAM provides end-to-end strategic solutions, from idea generation through presentation to senior business management and execution of the initiative.

The group has three main objectives in supporting the CIB businesses globally:
*To identify and realize savings to Transaction Expenses (brokerage, clearing, exchange, legal and other fees).
*To improve reporting of Transaction Expenses.
*To identify and recommend process improvements, including the development of a transaction expense data warehouse.

Role Responsibilities

*Assist with the development of Fixed Income data mining and analytical capabilities which will be the basis for broker rate negotiations and/or trade flow management.
*Assist with Debt Inter-dealer brokerage cost reduction projects that aim to reduce brokerage rates and/or direct trade flow to cost-efficient channels.
*Conduct in-depth evaluation of rate agreements, invoices and the reconciliation processes - identifying overcharges and process gaps to generate savings through the recovery of overcharges.
*Document Debt business processes and transaction fee calculations, using standard process mapping tools and techniques.

Requirements

*Must have strong academic background through relevant undergraduate studies.
*Good understanding of the life-cycle of a trade.
*Advanced in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
*Ability to work well under pressure always with a professional demeanour.
*The ability to identify process efficiencies, suggest improvements and implement where feasible.
*Experience of handling projects independently i.e. strong Project Management skills.
*Good analytical skills, high attention to detail, solid organizational and interpersonal skills.
*Strong verbal and written communication skills.
*Proactive in terms business development and to effectively deliver projects.
*Able to work independently, as well as in a team environment, prioritizing multiple tasks, and meeting strict deadlines.
*A financial services background, prior work experience in a front office environment a plus.
*Should be conversant with terminologies concepts relating to Investment Banking products.
