Our client is a leading International Investment Bank which is looking for an experienced candidate to join in a transaction focused operational risk and control position.
Supporting the global business across all products, this is a critical function that provides the framework and design of controls, monitors the effectiveness of those key controls and processes, and works closely with the audit and regulatory management teams. You will represent the business in various internal group meetings, liaising across the bank to ensure adequate KRIs and control procedures. You will be a central point of escalation and will have high level responsibility and influence, and will be involved in various ad-hoc project initiatives. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a critical and high profile role that will give you wide ranging business exposure
To qualify, the individuals must possess:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience gained within an international Investment Bank, with experience of operational control and risk. Audit experience also considered
- Solid understanding of Global Market products across Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX etc
- Experience of mapping processes and looking at Key Risk Indicators is preferred
- Strong operational knowledge of front to back trade processes is desirable
- Knowledge of regulatory and audit procedures, including SOX, is preferred
- Strong project and business change experience preferred
- A pro-active personality with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
