Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and accountable for new trades, mark-to-market of portfolios, PL and risk; update Trading Systems daily and reconcile items with Back Office Systems;  verify and post all trades in various systems and reconcile to postings

• Proactively and independently identify opportunities to improve the transaction process; actively implement new trading systems and processes for the desk’s use.

• Responsibility for transaction support projects, including documentation and streamlining of workflows.

• Continually identify areas for system improvements and automation and submit findings to management to drive their decision-making.

• Support the options/swaps trading teams for daily risk and PL reports/information, independently answering all trader questions that arise.

• Work cohesively alongside and train staff (where required) for full, efficient, effective support of the trading desk.

• Work independently in role with significant client contact internally; serves as the interface between trader and counterparty; liaise with clients to confirm customer trades, demonstrating judgment and an understanding of the business.

• Provides advice and trade analysis to traders and operations staff of any position adjustments and/or discrepancies and recommends methods of resolution. Act as Liaison between Front Office and Back Office/Operations/Settlements for all issues.

• Create and maintain procedural documents; ensure standards and procedures are adhered to supporting internal and external audits; identify areas to further develop processes, procedures and systems

• Responsibility for confirming that portfolios have been marked and risk properly tracked within the appropriate systems; manage risk and P/L utilizing system based models for all portfolios and report daily to Management    

• Research Credit Lines for potential counterparts, using the LIMEX system.

Experience /Qualifications/Education:

• Understands and interprets legal and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.

• Deep understanding of financial products and at least 2 years of trade processing/settlement experience.

• Strong communications skills.

• High proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook

• Proficiency with Reuters, Bloomberg

• High aptitude to learn customized In-House systems:  Summit, Martini, Impact, LIMEX

- Series 7 and Series 63 registrations desirable.
