An opportunity currently exists for an experienced Transactional Banking Manager to join the Corporate Transactional Banking Team. You will bring your strong customer service skills and client focus to create and build positive relationships throughout the Bank and with clients as well as utilise your strong technical skills and understanding of transactional banking products to partner with clients and provide solutions for their business needs. You will support the Business Development Manager with new business initiatives particularly in relation to key focus groups and assist with all new business transactions. Your proactive and hands on approach will be essential to the development and negotiation of banking solutions for clients and increasing the 'share of wallet' with existing clients. You will need to be highly personable with strong communication skills to be successful in this role.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the transactional banking requirements for a portfolio of clients
- Building and sustaining strong internal and external relationships
- Identifying and executing new business opportunities/referrals with new and existing clients
- Managing transactions right through to settlement/completion
- Marketing and building the business's profile
- Understand and develop all business processes and proactively seek greater efficiencies internally and for clients.
- Managing ongoing operational risk and building relationships with internal and external risk management teams
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold appropriate tertiary qualifications in finance, economics or related degree (desirable)
- Previous experience in a client facing transactional banking role
- Have strong technical skills and understanding of transactional banking products
- Have an aptitude to undertake relationship management and business development activities
- Display energy and passion for your work
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Attention to detail
- Timeliness/time management
- Knowledge of business management systems, PIVOT, Excel, BMRS, RAMP (desirable)
