BUSINESS UNIT INFORMATION:
The Attorneys and Legal Assistants on the SEI Europe Legal Team support SEI’s international offering of services in the institutional, private bank and wealth management businesses which provide investment management and other solutions to institutions, enterprises, banks, funds and investment advisors. Negotiating and drafting various services agreements with clients and vendors and supporting the development of global business solutions and services are primary responsibilities of the SEI Europe Legal Team. Individuals maintain a comprehensive understanding of multi-jurisdictional law and regulations, as well as knowledge of various investment product structures and regulations
KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE:
• Delivery of projects and transactional legal documentation to tight deadlines
Job Tasks
• Assistance in drafting and negotiating Outsourcing, Processing and Custody Agreements including participation with client meetings, and liaison as required with Sales, Services, Technical Sales, and Compliance;
• Drafting and negotiating fund management agreements with third party fund managers and distributors for distribution of third party funds on SEI’s Global Wealth Platform (GWP);
• Drafting and negotiating custody documentation with providers of wrapped products custodied through the GWP in conjunction with Private Client Investment Managers;
• Drafting miscellaneous legal documentation such as compromise agreements following compensation payments to clients, cross-trade indemnities etc.
• Drafting inter-company agreements
Experience and Skills
• +3years PQE of a transactional nature preferably in Financial Services (either wholesale or retail)
• Knowledge of Data Protection Laws and Regulations
• Asset Management (distribution side) experience useful.
• Good Interpersonal Skills necessary for external and internal client interaction.
• Organisational skills necessary. Individual will be required to carry own administrative tasks.
