Transactional Management Manager

 

Impact on the Business

· Assist with the delivery of a robust Transaction Management Unit (TMU) operational infrastructure and reporting to underpin cross customer group sales initiatives in support of Group EM strategy and LIB strategy.

· Assist the MENA Transaction Managment Unit (TMU) Head with the establishment of  procedures and framework  to provide post-sanction conformance on all Commodity Structured Trade Finance (CSTF)  facilities as well as ongoing transactional and collateral management

· Assist in the production and execution of Commodity Structured Trade Finance (CSTF)   Facility and transactional documentation.

Customers / Stakeholders

· Ensuring effective delivery and support for Internal Customers -  Commodity Structured Trade Finance (CSTF)  Sales Force, CMB and GBM

· Assist in the timely and efficient delivery for External Customers – related CMB and GBM clients and new prospects

· Delivering accurate and relevant MI to Stakeholders – GTB/TSC, CMB, GB (REG/RBL), GM, Group Risk and regional risk functions.

Leadership Teamwork

· Provide advice  and guidance to other members of the Transaction Management Unit (TMU) and to both internal and external Clients and Stakeholders  as and when needed whilst ensuring delivery of objectives

· Assist in the testing and implementation of the CMS system.

· Be comfortable and confident to delegate tasks to others, knowing objectives will be met within a given timeframe.

 

Operational Effectiveness Control

· Drive identification and development of best practice systems and processes for Transaction Management Unit (TMU) functions, ensuring roll-out to designated Hubs and Spokes

· Keep abreast of market developments and disseminate knowledge to network

· Take ownership and have a “make it happen” approach

· Work collaboratively to support colleagues by actively consulting and ensuring delivery through delegation, personal action and active follow up where necessary

 

Major Challenges

 

New role for new business within HSBC where successful TMU delivery is crucial to the efficient build up and sustainability of the Commodity Structured Trade Finance (CSTF)  business. Be a key team player within Transaction Management Unit (TMU) in meeting the demands of multiple stakeholders which present a test of prioritisation and negotiation as well as of operational efficiencies. Commodity Structured Trade Finance (CSTF)  is a new business within HSBC so there are challenges in forging a bespoke operating unit and systems environment. Furthermore this new business will be monitored at a senior level as part of a group wide Commodities initiative.  Role holder should be seen to offer constructive challenge and support to stakeholders.

 

Knowledge Experience / Qualifications

 

· In-depth knowledge of Commodity Structured Trade Finance (CSTF)  products ,risk, mitigants, documentation, markets and customers (min 5 years)

· In-depth knowledge of best practice Commodity Structured Trade Finance (CSTF)   operational delivery systems and processes (min 5 years)

· Strong understanding of the marketplace and issues likely to impact on effective delivery and/or risk management, as well as on customer satisfaction and revenues
