Transfer Agency Oversight Analyst

 

Business Unit Overview:
The Transfer Agency Oversight team is responsible for the monitoring and management of the performance of BlackRock's Third Party Transfer Agency providers across the UK, Luxembourg, Ireland and Poland.
 
Job Purpose/Background:
Ideally having at least 2 years industry experience, the TA Oversight Analyst will be expected to undertake a wide range of oversight related functions. In placing emphasis on risk and quality control, the Associate will contribute to strengthening BlackRock's operational controls.  In addition to providing flexible support within the team, contribution to change initiatives/projects may also be expected.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
·         Responsible for the day to day relationship with BlackRock's Third Party Transfer Agents, acting as a primary contact for both internal and external parties
·         Responsible for the investigation and resolution of day to day operational queries, issues and incidents.
·         Responsible for the completion of key daily tasks in relation to the provision of accurate cash flow information to Portfolio Managers and EMEA Retail via Aladdin Dashboard monitoring.
·         Responsible for monitoring the performance of the service provider:
o    Completion of oversight checks on specific activities at the TA to ensure compliance with agreed service criteria
o    Assist with annual due diligence visits to the provider in conjunction with BlackRock's Risk and Compliance functions
·         Management of issues and incidents, conducting root cause analysis and ensuring appropriate remedial steps are clearly defined and assigned to mitigate risk
 
 
Knowledge/Experience:
·         Candidates are likely to have gained experience of a Dealing/Box Management of dual and single priced funds within an asset management or fund administration environment.
·         Ideally a minimum of 2 years of professional experience after graduation and/or a post-graduate degree in a related field
 
 
Skills/Qualifications:
·         A strong working knowledge of FAST and AWD, and or other Transfer Agency platforms would be desirable although not essential.
·         A sound working knowledge of MS Office products is essential
·         Experience is using Outlook
·         Degree or equivalent in a related field
 
Competencies:
·         Must possess a positive 'can do' attitude, displaying a flexible approach to an ever changing environment.
·          Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
·         Possess time management and prioritisation skills
·         Attention to detail is essential
