Transfer Agency Oversight – Vice President recruitment

Role Profile
• Responsible for day to day relationship with BlackRock’s Third Party Transfer Agents (TA) acting as primary contact for both internal and external parties.
• Responsible for the investigation and resolution of day to day operational queries, issues and incidents.
• Management of issues and incidents, conducting root cause analysis and ensuring appropriate remedial steps are clearly defined and assigned to mitigate risks:
- Proactively analyse trends in errors and issues to identify opportunities for process improvement at either the Provider or BlackRock. Recommend and implement corrective action plans to prevent future reoccurrence.
• Provide subject matter expertise to ensure the integrity of the operating model identifying and implementing best business practice where required.
• Responsible for definition and maintenance of procedures, processes and controls between BlackRock and its administrators. Negotiate and manage periodic updates to the operating model / service level documentation ensuring they reflect optimal working practices.
• Candidates are likely to have gained institutional/wholesale fund processing experience from a global asset manager or from an offshore funds administrator.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external parties
• Responsibility for monitoring the performance of the service provider:
- Completion of oversight checks on specific activities at the TA to ensure compliance with agreed service levels.
- Monitoring of ongoing performance levels and validation against agreed key performance indicators to ensure service standards are maintained and improved.
- Assist annual due diligence visits in conjunction with BlackRock’s Compliance and Risk departments.
Working requirements
• The role is expected to be able to support the team manager. This includes the requirement to work flexibly and shall include different or additional hours outside of the company’s core hours of work as may be necessary in the performance of your duties and in order to resolve priority business issues as and when they might arise. This includes an infrequent requirement to work on weekends to support system testing requirements and fund transitions.
System Knowledge
• A strong working knowledge of FAST and AWD would be desirable
• A sound knowledge of Word and Excel
• Experience in using Outlook
