Summary of ResponsibilitiesSupervises the Transfer Agency Processing Team and performs key control and oversight of functions for the Transfer Agent processing for mutual fund shareholders.
The position responsibilities would include hiring, training and development of staff.
Develops departmental policies and procedures and maintains and monitors operational performance standards.
Ensures timely completion of all relevant forms and regulatory filings, proper handling and processing of shareholder work and associate administrative duties. Works directly with JPMorgan clients and vendors as needed to build and maintain positive business relationships.II.
Position Responsibilities
Ensures procedures and controls are in place to maintain the integrity of the data processing environment and comply with the shareholder recordkeeping and regulatory controls.
Resolves trade problems or exceptions, client issues and complaints to ensure excellent customer service is being provided to all shareholders who transact with the Funds serviced by JPMorgan Fund Services.
Directly involved in the sales process for new mutual fund clients, including presentations to visiting prospects and identifying opportunities to streamline their processes to give JPMorgan an advantage over competing third party administrators.
Maintains a viable Business Recovery Plan by updating and testing call tress, off-site disaster recovery kits, and day in the life documents (i.e. outlines of daily tasks and/or checklists).
Recruits, hires, trains and develops staff.
Provides direction to and development of associates through the creation of development plans, the administration of the Performance Management Program and daily coaching.
Complies with USA PATRIOT ACT by enforcing the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies for each Fund Family for fraud detection and prevention by participating in AML meetings, external seminars, and internal training classes.
Represents Transfer Agent on project teams in development of projects and implementation of new mutual funds and features.
Handles complex inquiries and provide technical expertise and assistance to internal and external contacts to assist with research of shareholder inquiries, internal audits, and account reconciliations.
Monitors volume of transactions on a daily basis and utilizes resources appropriately to ensure same day completion.
Regularly evaluates and monitors productivity, education/training and equipment needs to identify areas of improvement.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Selection Criteria
Demonstrated Experience in the back office mutual fund industry.
This would include activities involving accounting, processing and customer service of mutual fund products.
Substantial experience in customer service or client management in the financial services industry.
This would include identifying client problems/issues, providing and initiating effective resolutions.
Substantial experience leading individuals with the proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
This would include providing direction, coaching and effective feedback to team members to create a culture of accountability.

Proven experience supervising and mentoring individuals.
This would include providing direction, coaching and effective feedback to team members.
Proven experience implementing federal or state guidelines for compliance purposes.
This would include researching and staying current on changing guidelines to provide recommendations for policy/procedural changes.
Demonstrated professional demeanor and cite examples where needed to stay organized, calm, and professional when handling demanding situations.
Possesses and displays excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused and concise manner.

Demonstrated experience effectively influencing a group to a recommended course of action.
Proven experience coordinating multiple projects/assignments simultaneously and completing assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis.
Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail with excellent organization skills. Must demonstrate project management experience in planning, executing, and maintaining a project from start to finish.
Must cite examples from working experience in identifying problems arising from employee relation issues, customers, policy/procedural changes, etc. and providing effective recommendations to resolve.
Demonstrated experience working independently under little direction from management.
Experience must include identifying and resolving problems where independent decision making and initiative were demonstrated.II.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting preferred or 2-5 years equivalent work experience in Financial Services Industry.III. Computer skills and knowledge of hardware software required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Working knowledge and proven experience with shareholder recordkeeping systems.
