Transformation Leader – VP – Retail and Private Banking
The successful candidate must demonstrate a solid track record of major project delivery. Ideally, the candidate will have knowledge or experience in consumer and private banking environments and some familiarity with common systems and platforms that support these businesses. You will understand the complexities of managing business transformation and project execution involving teams based in different locations; have the commercial skills and knowledge to manage a range of internal and external stakeholders and successfully bring together cross-functional units to ensure successful delivery (e.g., sales, marketing, legal/compliance, development, finance, support, etc).
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead selected major transformation and capability build initiatives, ensuring alignment of cross-functional resources and execution against plans. Specifically, lead the overall Regional Private Re-Platforming programme execution from a business perspective to ensure successful delivery and execution of the new business model build. Working closely with the IT project manager, actively drive and oversee project execution; ensure project methodology is correctly applied throughout key project stages and all stakeholders are actively engaged
- Engage with the Retail Banking Leadership Team to contribute to the overall definition and management of the transformation roadmap regionally, identifying key capability builds that will enable achievement of business strategy.
- Work with Business Transformation and IT colleagues to further develop and refine project execution methodologies and project monitoring/review mechanisms.
Requirements:
- University degree (MBA would be an advantage).
- More than 5 years of proven expertise in Project Management / Project Delivery specifically in Change Management or Implementation projects with thorough knowledge and understanding of project management methods, processes, tools and techniques
- CITPM or PMP certification would be an advantage
- Understanding of the core business of Consumer, Premier and Private banking and knowledge of wealth management products, processes and models would be an advantage.
- A very strong customer service mindset is a must
- Excellent inter-personal, communications and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work independently and under pressure
