Job Title:   East Coast Transit Customer Service Sales Manager

Reports To:  Director of Transit Sales

 

SUMMARY: The Transit Customer Service Sales Manager oversees the projects and related sales for the passenger rail market. As public transportation companies upgrade and retrofit their equipment, the CS Sales Manger takes advantage of all sales opportunities and ensures 100% customer satisfaction.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES are to perform one or more of the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

Manage and oversee transit customer service sales, including aftermarket parts and equipment upgrades. Analyze and define market opportunities by effectively communicating with market leaders.

 

Generate monthly reports for the Managing Director, including sales forecasts, project updates and market analysis.

 

Manage a team of field sales personnel. Guide and assist sales team with corporate procedures and reporting requirements.

 

Coordinate with different departments (Engineering, Purchasing, Project Management and Manufacturing) involved in sales programs. 

 

Travel to customer locations to ensure upgrades and repairs are completed in a timely manner and meet customer expectations.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Manage the sales team, located throughout the U.S.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: DEGREE Requires a BS Degree and at least 3 years in transit sales.

Candidate must possess a working knowledge of the North American passenger transit market.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Ability to travel by air or car across U.S. time zones and work effectively.
