Corporate Banking Solutions is a team that is dedicated to exceeding the expectations of CBA's business customers by offering innovative and compelling banking solutions, supported by a simple and easy origination experience. CBS works closely with BPB and IBM sales and distribution channels to provide solutions that cover all business working capital, payments, asset finance and lending needs. CBS also provides a wide range of services to IBM and other BPB divisions, including strategic advisory and incubation of new businesses.
Major Client Integration and Transition works with the sales teams in Corporate Financial Solutions and Institutional Banking to transition clients from their incumbent bank to Commonwealth Bank using a process developed and perfected over the years. The teams also assist existing clients to implement new products and services where there is a requirement for project management or systems integration.
Role Purpose:
The Transition Specialist is a critical member of the Major Client Integration and Transition team.The role is responsible for project managing the rollout of products to existing and new to bank clients. The Transition Specialist role is a vital role within the Major Client Integration and Transition team. This role is best suited to team members that are able to manage very large client transitions from start to end, and are able to work autonomously ? requesting assistance only as needed.
The role entails providing existing and new to bank clients with the highest quality implementation or transition experience, from single to multi product implementations. Transition Specialists are seen as specialists in client IT integration or professional product implementation of multiple products. Transition Specialists may be required to assist State Managers to complete single product implementation components of a major transition, or to offer technical guidance. This position has career progression to State Manager.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide superior service aligned with the client's needs and the organisation's business objectives.
- Implementing products and services in line with product delivery timelines.
- Contribute to cross-sell opportunities across the Transaction Banking Solution client segments.
- Contribute to processes that ensure productive working relationships with key internal stakeholders (relationship executives, product managers account managers) and promote client retention.
- Project manages product implementations for new business wins and multiple product upgrades or transitions for major clients.
- Project manages the implementation of customised and non-standard solutions ie e- commerce strategies and host to host systems.
- Provides training and support on complex, technical and implementation related issues to internal and external clients.
- Plans and executes follow up support activities in order to ensure client satisfaction.
- Provides a point of reference for Transaction Banking teams on issues relating to implementation procedures and resources.
- Assists with the development of implementation guidelines and strategies for CBS
- Liaises with internal stakeholders to develop detailed time estimates and work schedules.
- Delivers implementation planning documentation and provides project status report to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifies, assesses, and implements risk mitigation strategies to meet project objectives.
Qualifications / Experience Required
- A very high degree of quality project management experience.
- At least 3 years' experience encompassing operational or business analysis roles.
- Proven competency of project management tools and techniques, including project management software eg
- Microsoft Project.
- Excellent client service skills
