TITLE: Transport Controller / Traffic Controller
LOCATION: Hallen, Bristol (South Gloucestershire)
SALARY: £22 to £26k, dependant on experience

This is one of the South West's largest independent transport and recycling companies, with a diverse range of businesses in its portfolio: including construction (soil surgery), recycling, waste management and environment management. They are now looking for a Transport Controller / Traffic Controller to run the day-to-day management of multiple drivers.

Main responsibilities as a Transport Controller / Traffic Controller:
- Driver management scheduling
- Resolution of operational matters
- Maintaining customer service levels
- Budget management
- Accident / incident management

You will be working as a Transport Controller / Traffic Controller within a fast moving transport business, and as such must possess the following:
- Experience of management within a transport environment
- Scheduling experience within a fast moving transport business
- Good administration skills
- Awareness of financial and commercial impacts, resulting from operational decisions
- Health safety awareness
- Good geographical knowledge of Bristol and the surrounding areas
- Previous experience planning/scheduling, routing of vehicles and drivers within the Waste industry is desirable
- CPC qualification (or equivalent) is desirable

To succeed as a Transport Controller / Traffic Controller you will be a team player with excellent people management skills, impeccable communication skills, an analytical mind, a strong customer focus and good IT skills.
