Australian Professional Galvanizing requires the services of Transport Supervisors to lead and supervise a team of workers at our Townsville plant. APG is the only Australian owned steel galvanizing business in North Queensland.
The position of Transport Supervisor is critical to the efficiency of the galvanizing operation. Transport Supervisor is responsible for both the black yard operations and the silver yard operations. This includes overseeing yard labour to complete their tasks included maintaining order in the silver yard, the loading of customer pick-ups and the scheduling of and loading of the inter-depot trucks, ensuring customer satisfaction in complete job returns. Overseeing the servicing and maintenance of our fleet of trucks and trailers.

- Experience in Steel Industry
- Experience in transport scheduling
- Outstanding time management skills
- Proven record in running and building a team
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
- Minimum 3 years experience in a transport leadership role
- Excellent communication skills (both written verbal)
- Sound computer skills
- Sound knowledge of WH S
- Attention to detail.
- Forklift Licence
Remuneration negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
