We are currently looking for a Transportation and Supply Chain Manager to work in our Aurora, Ohio office. The Manager of Transportation and Supply Chain is a member of the Purchasing Organization. The position requires a technically competent individual in the Transportation Field with the ability to lead positive change in a multi-site/matrix environment. The individual must posses both strategic and tactical skills to successfully develop and implement programs/initatives.

Qualifications:

Accountability Objectives:
1) Develop strategic supplier relationships with key Transportation suppliers;
2) Along with the NA delegation committees' negotiate pricing agreements for all modes of transportation;
3) Represent SGPPL on the Procure LTL, Small Package, Air Frieght, Ocean, MRO, Packaging Teams;
4) Support the Supply Chain initiatives and purchases including Agora, Corrugated, MRO, Cores/Tubes, Office Equipment, Forklifts, Postage Equipment, Office Supplies, Packaging). Represent SGPPL on Procure teams.
5) Monitor and support auditing firm in ensuring accuracy of carrier invoices;
6) Administer the CTPAT program

Principle End Result:
• Minimize SGPPL's total acquisition costs associated with its domestic US Transportation Requirements through developing and administering Strategic Supplier Relationships for the various modes of Carrier requirements including Truck Load, Less Than Truck Load, Small Package, Air, and Freight Forwarding totaling approximately $15MM per year. Driving programs with the Delegations regarding MRO, Office Supply, Cores Tubes and Corrugated. Negotiate with the Delegation Terms Conditions and guarantee compliance thoughout the SGPPL sites
• Supply Chain purchasing (Agora, Corrugated, MRO, Cores/Tubes, Office Equipment, Forklifts, Postage Equipment, Office Supplies, Packaging, etc.) with a totaling approximately $17MM per year.
• Work with auditing firm to monitor carrier invoices for accuracy
• Administer the CTPAT program
• Monitor, Evaluate and Support sites in carrier relationships including assisting sites in service/price challenges, carrier disputes and when appropriate make change recommendations.
• Drive compliance by the sites with all of Procure Transportation Initiatives

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business or other related discipline.
Certified Purchasing Manager Certification (C.P.M.) or ability to attain within an 18 month period. Five to Ten Years Professional Experience, five of which include working in a matrix/multi-site environment. Strategic thinker with the ability to lead positive change. Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in teams and build relationships with other functions. Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to work independently and make autonomous decisions, when necessary. Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills. Working knowledge of the Transportation Industry.
