They work within our branches supporting our customer sales and carrier sales teams. Our Interns find and develop new customers and service our current customers. They learn about our business inside and out, placing them into a position in which they can be considered for full-time employment upon graduation....with a leg up on their competition! Responsibilities Learn as much as you can and set the pace for others Monitor in-transit freight and troubleshoot problems to ensure on-time delivery Schedule freight pick-up and delivery appointments Maintain and build effective relationships with partner carriers and customers Learn and train to market, service and promote J.B. Hunt?s services and solutions to existing and prospective customers Learn and train to manage a network of partner carriers to move freight in profitable manner Learn and train to negotiate rates with customers and carriers appropriately Other duties as required
