Transportation Sector Lead- Project Controls Consultant

Job Description With the combined strength of AECOM and Davis Langdon, an AECOM company, our Program, Cost, Consultancy (PCC) experts manage time, cost and quality imperatives to achieve successful project outcomes across the built environment. As part of the PCC North American Leadership team, you will lead PCC's Transportation sector nationally, maximizing opportunities and sales growth while ensuring profitability and delivery of value to clients. This will entail building a market-leading cost, project controls, risk and schedule management consultancy servicing roads, rail, bridges and tunnels and other transit projects. Key responsibilities of the role include; - Develop and maintain the annual business strategy for development of the sector offering and for growth, consistent with the firm's strategic plan. - Responsible for developing quality revenue in the Sector. - Build collaborative relationships across AECOM's dedicated Transportation business. - Leverage the existing volume of work that is being carried out by Transportation, to build the core competencies of project controls and cost management functions in support of those projects. - Position PCC as a value-added component of all AECOM's transportation pursuits as well as launch these new services to compete externally in the marketplace. - Manage the overall sector reputation and build market leading sector expertise, capabilities, and thought-leadership. - Connect to the business case of the owner. - Build deeper client (+colleague) relationships. - Facilitate the move upstream and secure "owners" at clients. We require a talented, driven leader who has experience in a similar role who possesses excellent technical skills and leadership capability coupled with the ability to win and strengthen client confidence. To be successful in this role we are seeking a combination of the following skills and attributes; Skill/Services: - Bachelors degree or preferably higher in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related field. A recognized industry qualification such as PE, PMP, CCM, CCE or similar would be advantageous. - Demonstrated track record in a senior leadership role with responsibility for delivering cost management and/or project controls consulting services, on major transportation projects, is essential. - Demonstrated experience developing winning proposals and booking significant new accounts. - Willingness and ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with diplomacy and tact, and a strong focus on customer service in order to strengthen client confidence. - Ability to think strategically, plan and provide solutions based on the needs of the business. - Ability to "get things done" - proactively solve problems, anticipate the impact and next steps, and connect actions to broader outcomes. - Outstanding interpersonal skills including the ability to interact, communicate and influence individuals at all levels within a diverse organization.
