Our client is one of the leaders in the nation for the supply of digital, telecommunications and wireless services and their transportation infrastructure is critical to their operations. The client is looking to hire an experienced Transportation Specialist who will be responsible for information collection, data analysis, claims processing, and day to day tactical operations. Candidate for this position will require transportation knowledge and experience, staying abreast of and knowing the constantly changing federal, state, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The Transportation Specialist is accountable for managing the data for transportation operations, routes and truckload shipping plans with essential duties as follows:-

1. Assist in the Management of the PDC/AFC transportation operations

2. Heavy Truck Load, Less then Truck Load and Intermodal

3. Ensure organization acceptance and collaboration with the supply chain fulfillment process

4. Address fulfillment/transportation issues elevated PDC/AFC staff

5. Oversee the 3PL transportation providers compliance to acceptable transportation standards

6. Maintain accurate record keeping systems in reference to Supply Chain operations, freight claims and transportation related KPI's

7. Stay abreast and be able to clearly communicate changes in federal, state, and DOT regulations for transported goods

8. Manage multiple shipments and trucks to various destinations effectively through the 3PL provider

9. Deliver monthly Dashboard reports to support Transportation Operations

10. Perform select data analysis to support change in operations

11. Assist in the design and implementation of analytical tools that supports the transportation category and these needs of its stakeholders

12. Analyze inbound and outbound transportation expense to evaluate static and dynamic routing changes for cost savings

Requirements:
1. BS/BA degree in Logistics or Supply Chain required

2. Required 2 to 5 years of previous work experience in Supply Chain or Operations or related field

3. Required 2 to 4 years of previous management or leadership experience

4. Required 2 to 5 years of information analysis, insights development and executive reporting experience

5. Must have distribution center transportation knowledge
6. Communications industry background (preferred but not required)

7. Demonstrated operational, technology, and business analysis expertise
