Transportation Technician Job in Jacksonville, Illinois US
Advanced Medical Transport of Central Illinois is currently seeking a part-time Transportation Technician for our Jacksonville, IL service area.
Job Purpose:
Responsible for the compassionate, safe and efficient movement of behavioral health clients between healthcare facilities. Will respond for clients requiring supervised transportation services as determined by the IDHS/DMH and provided for under the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code (405 ILCS 5/3-605 and 3-819).
Duties:
* Supervision of all patients as assigned to his/her for transportation.
* Provide de-escalation techniques and aggression preventative strategies when necessary.
* Assist the healthcare facility staff in escorting the patient to and from the vehicle at both originating and receiving facilities.
* Provide patients and their families with any assistance when requested.
* Assure the accuracy and completeness of all company and patient contact paperwork.
* Be responsible for all equipment and supplies as specified on company vehicle check-off sheets an inventory requirements.
* Maintains current State of Illinois drivers license according to provisions set forth by the Illinois Secretary of State and Department of Motor Vehicles.
* Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times.
* Help promote a positive company image.
* Accepts other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
Customer Service, Customer Focus, Bedside Manner, Physical Fitness, Verbal Communication, Listening, Documentation Skills, Decision Making, Patient Services, Health Care Administration, Health Promotion and Maintenance Field Scheduling Coordinator. The successful candidate will assist in the schedule coordination of all field and call center operations personnel.
Duties:
The ideal candidate:
*Valid High School Diploma or equivalent.
*Valid State of Illinois Driver's License.
*Must be able to report for duty when emergency staffing conditions occur (at most 20 hours per week).
*Must value the human dignity, personal worth and quality of life of each client.
