Position Overview
Perform travel agent responsibilities with prompt professional customer service with a focus on recommending and selling preferred vendors.
Responsibilties
- Sells all approved travel related products to meet or exceed established sales goals.
- Counsels and recommends preferred vendor products to clients in all aspects of travel planning.
- Performs all airline-ticketing functions including, sales, accounting and reporting on Apollo system in accordance with ARC regulations.
- Sells AAA memberships and properly completes the necessary paperwork and collection of funds.
- Participates in training meetings and club promotions as requested by management.
- Provides travel agency assistance to other offices as requested by management.
- Performs other duties as requested by management.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Has a minimum of one-year prior experience working for an airline or a travel agency.
Some professional training or experience using an airline reservations system
Successfully complete AAA University testing program, Levels 1 2, within 18 months.
Valid driver's license.
SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Proven ability to generate airline tickets using major airline system
- Complete knowledge and compliance of AAA National quality standards within 6 months.
- Proven communication skills, organizational skills, and demonstrated mathematical ability.
- Ability to lift and/or move materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Inventory control.
