Travel Products Marketing Manager
Moneycorp is one of the longest established foreign exchange companies in the UK, with a growing international presence and strong consumer brand. Achieving double-digit growth for 31 years, the company is a market leader in the provision of retail, private and commercial foreign exchange.
In 2011 Moneycorp launched Online Travel Money (OTM) and Prepaid Currency Card (Explorer), targeting the retail travel sector. These are high profile products within the Moneycorp portfolio with 3 primary routes to market:
- Direct sales online
- Direct sales through branch network (Explorer Prepaid Card only)
- Offered as white label or co-branded products through main partners
An opportunity has arisen for a Travel Products Marketing Manager to join our marketing team to lead an ambitious sales and marketing effort. You will be primarily responsible for achieving stretching sales targets in all routes to market, through the development and execution of a strategic marketing plan. If you an experienced marketing professional with strong commercial focus and a proven track record in delivering successful marketing programmes, then this could be the role for you.
The Role
The role will involve working closely with the Head of Marketing but and a number of senior stakeholders, as well as being a member of the Group Marketing Board. Particular responsibilities include:
- Develop a strategic marketing plan for Travel Money and Prepaid Cards, for sign-off by Moneycorp Exco
- Coordinate and execute marketing activities in-line with sales plan targets
- Manage advertising, PR and promotional budget spend relating to travel products
- Ensure all activities are measurable and to provide regular evaluation and ROI reports
- Conduct customer research as appropriate and develop customer insight to inform marketing activities
- Manage and co-ordinate promotional activities to support key partner relationships and white label products
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- be an effective leader and have experience of managing senior stakeholders
- have experience within a dynamic marketing environment
- have knowledge of media/advertising sector
- have experience of customer acquisition and retention
- have excellent oral and written communication skills and creative flair along with commercial acumen and numerical skills
- be highly self motivated and well organised
- be articulate and IT literate
- have the ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously
