Job Description:
We have a reputation as a leading national construction contractor specializing in tunneling , underground utility, and excavation services. We are currently seeking an Earthwork Superintendent for projects in the northern reaches of the Midwest, but our supers are all traveling supers. What you need for this position:
- 5+ years of experience in earthwork services is required.
- Must be willing to travel to projects across the U.S.
- Excellent leadership skills and strong verbal communication skills is required.
- Knowledgable, dependable and hard working.
What you'll be doing:
- Manage employees, equipment, subcontractors, and materials on assigned projects.
- Plan a safe project site.
- Consistently exceeds estimated labor production estimates.
- Punch lists and call backs are minimal.
- Clearly communicate expectations
- Consistently deliver paperwork, on time and accurate.
- Prepare and meet schedules
- Build a team by attitude and example.
Extensive knowledge in the following areas is required
- Mass grading and excavation
- Soil correction
- Storm water retention
- Subgrade preparation
- Road and parking lot construction
- Site remediation
- GPS/auto level/laser
