The Corporate Center supports UBS' s business divisions and regions through provision of Group-level control functions, covering Finance, Legal Compliance and Risk, and shared services including HR, Information Technology, Communications Branding and Supply Demand Management.

As part of the corporate treasury department, you will take part in the management of the financial resources of the firm, corporate level governance of treasury processes, transactions and the corresponding risk management. You will integrate with a small team of treasury professionals who are responsible for managing the interest rate risks transferred to them from business groups within the firm. Besides the role of daily interest rate risk management, the team works closely involved in accounting, reporting and risk control functions. In a dynamic environment of developing business group activities, the corporate treasury department also provides governance on a variety of treasury and market risk activities.

The responsibilities in this role include:

Risk and PL responsibility on banking book positions in a number of major currencies
Aligning modern risk management and ALM techniques within the increasingly complex accounting requirements under IFRS
Analyzing the global treasury processes to further optimize profitability
Ensuring efficient treasury processes and risk transfer from originating business groups to corporate treasury and on to hedge counterparties
Analyze hedging strategies and develop recommendations to the Group ALCO and the Board of Directors
Maintaining a robust control framework and partnering with risk and control units to ensure a sound and transparent risk environment.

University degree in business, economics or a technical discipline
Five+ years or greater work experience as an interest rate risk specialist in a large international trading or treasury department
Experience of all traded treasury related products and the inherent basis risks in typical banking books
Knowledgeable of replicating portfolio methodology and the influence of rate markets on a retail banking franchise.
Understanding of hedge accounting principles and the application to banking book risk management and earning stabilization
History of developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and regulators, through effective communication of processes, strategies and risks.
Strong interaction skills with professionals from debt capital markets, interest rate trading and product specialists.
Excellent communication skills. English fluency is required, German a plus.
