Treasury Architect, Senior Manager recruitment

Group Finance includes central finance areas, specialist teams and divisional finance teams which supporting our front-line businesses.  Our specialist teams are; Group Chief Accountant's, Group Corporate Finance, Group Finance Business and Executive Support, Group Financial Planning and Analysis, Group Internal Audit, Global Services Finance, Group Strategy, Group Tax, Group Treasury, and Investor Relations.

The RBS Finance Risk Systems Transformation (FiRST) programme is a business critical, multi-year operations and technology initiative to integrate Group level Finance, Risk and Treasury systems for RBS.  The scope of the architecture team covers all finance, risk and treasury functions and includes architecture views at the business, application, data, and infrastructure levels.

As Treasury Architect you'll be responsible for and own the definition of all treasury elements of the FiRST architecture. This is a change role and you'll have a significant impact on the RBS landscape for treasury systems over the next 10-12 years. As Treasury Architect, you'll work with senior stakeholders to understand their requirements and the end state vision. You'll also lead a group of Architects and Business / Data Analysts in generating the solution design both for the end state and individual releases of the programme. In doing so, you'll be responsible for liaising with other Senior Architects within the programme. Additionally you'll drive architecture decisions at an executive level and be a key voting member of the FiRST programme’s design authority, whilst working with external suppliers and software vendors to agree deliverables and to manage the quality of their work.

Naturally as Treasury Architect, you'll have business knowledge of treasury banking capabilities such as Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), asset and liability management, liquidity management and strong functional and technical competency in banking. You'll have performed a similar architecture lead role in another major banking organisation and have proven ability to communicate effectively at executive level, with stakeholders and consulting / vendor partners. You'll also have technical architecture design experience and a proven track record of full programme life cycle delivery.
