Treasury Associate recruitment

One of the world's largest financial institutions is currently looking to recruit an Associate level Treasury Assistant for its treasury function in London.

Treasury is a revenue generating team which is responsible for the company's funding, asset liability balance sheet management, liquidity, and the investment of capital.

As an Associate in this small team, you will undertake a varied treasury role to basically offer support to the function wherever it is required.  You may be involved in producing analysis and MI for internal use, reports for the CFO,  some cash management work, mitigating funding liquidity risk, controlling ALM etc.  This is not a market facing/front office role – however, there may be the opportunity to be involved in a small amount of dealing.

As an immediate project, you will be involved in some process improvement work within the Treasury team. You will be expected to analyse how the day-to-day business operates, and come up with ideas as to how improvements can be made. For this reason, it is essential that you have very strong Excel modelling skills (macros and VB), as well as an interest in process improvement work.

The successful candidate will also have relevant practical experience of treasury products (Repo, FX swaps and IR swaps), good all-round banking treasury skills and an understanding of FSA regulations.  Advanced IT skills are essential for the reporting and process improvement parts of the role.

You will be keen to work in a small team where you can combine the challenges and high profile work of a larger organisation with the opportunity to make a real impact in a smaller, specialist team.  This role will not suit someone looking for a pure front office position.
