Treasury Change recruitment
My client is a leading retail bank and is looking for someone to move into the Treasury Finance - Technical Reporting and Oversight team.
The job purpose is to supervise change within Treasury Finance covering Global Banking and Markets (SGBM), Asset and Liability Management (ALM) and other activities of the UK plc Group recorded on the Wholesale Fusion ledger, and the impact on downstream statutory and regulatory reporting processes.
In particular the person will act as a change agent with responsibility for;
- Supporting business developments and growth initiatives;
- Understanding of the control environment in order to be able to access the impact of change and input to change proposals;
- Ensure that the impact of change on controls is correctly assessed;
- Understanding business drivers / volumes in order to be able to impact to the architecture design; and
- Understanding the booking and reporting architecture in order to ensure able to assess the impact of proposed changes.
Key Competencies
- Qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years of post qualification experience.
- Project / change management experience including working on one or more significant change initiatives,
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of Treasury products, including;
- Cash and funding instruments, loans and deposits, repo / reverse repo and stock loan / borrow,
- Derivatives - Interest rate, inflation, cross currency, equity linked
- Strong knowledge and experience of accounting for financial instruments,
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, especially around financial instruments / IAS 32/39.
- Previous experience in a Treasury Finance / Product Control function, or extensive audit experience of a Treasury function,
- Knowledge of trading systems and posting engines
- Understanding of full product lifecycle
