Treasury Credit / Quality Assurance Manager recruitment
The role will interface with the GE functional Risk structure across the GE Group, Legal, Treasury and Finance and Audit functions. The role is based in Hammersmith.
Essential responsibilities:
This role is a dual role in the Risk function.
The Risk function provides the counterparty credit approval and credit oversight of GE Capital UK’s Treasury activities (investments / money placements /FX dealing and derivatives). The job holder will be responsible for establishing procedures with regard to credit analysis and approval of credit lines for the Treasury function, providing the day to day Risk oversight of operations and credit risk of GE Capital UK’s Treasury activities.
The Risk function also provide the second level of defence to the Credit function and the Credit Quality Assurance team form GE Capital UK’s second line of defence with respect to the activities of the Credit function. The job holder will support the Credit Quality Assurance Leader in the execution of second line of defence responsibilities with both at the client level and the portfolio level. At the client level, the Credit Quality Assurance team will review the credit/lending process and form well-balanced opinions regarding the quality of decisions taken, covering: client on-boarding; the quality of the underwriting processes; risk processes to manage the lending portfolio/ the collections process; and the exit process or work-out procedures.
At the portfolio level, the Credit Quality Assurance team will be charged with: overviewing developing trends in the portfolio; conducting thematic reviews as necessary depending on the trends identified in the portfolio or as directed by the Senior Leadership Team; and reviewing the impact and efficacy of our scored lending portfolio.
Protecting the business Establishment of an overall process framework for the management of all aspects of risks throughout the organisation.
Ensuring the bank operates in a compliant manner within the relevant legislative frameworks. Responsible for effective implementation and ongoing regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, mathematics, business administration or economics
• Experience of credit risk management either in a portfolio management or credit approval role.
• Strong influencing skills
• Strong project management / planning and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and results orientation
• Experience in working in a regulated environment
• Fluent English
Desired:
• French and German language skills would be an advantage
• GE risk experience and / or RMLP graduate
• Corporate credit risk experience at a senior level
• Previous audit or assurance experience
• Process management skills - experience personally developing and guiding others through the development of significant business processes
• French and German language skills would be an advantage
