Our client is a well-known international bank which has an office in Brussels.

Job Description

As treasury dealer, you will manage the following tasks:

- Run the Treasury positions of the Bank in accordance with the procedures/limits in force and as a profit center.

- Determine and optimize the amounts to be placed / borrowed on a daily basis and execute the transactions within the counterparty limits communicated by the Credit Dept.

- Ensure that Nostro balances are managed promptly correctly.

- Input renew clients deposits, loans and advances in accordance with the Credit Dept. instructions.

- Ensure that correct amount of obligatory reserves are placed with the BNB/ECB in liaison with the Head of Accounting Dept.

- Prepare weekly Money Market lendings report and maintain regular contact with Parent Company.

- Deal only within the Foreign Exchange limits set for Bank's account, both on an intraday overnight basis, consolidated branch by branch.

- Cover any excess positions accordingly.

- Deal only within the foreign exchange limits set for clients, ensuring that the Credit Dept approval for any required excesses is obtained.

- Produce the daily listings of exchange rates to be published at our counter ( Brussels Branch only).

- Review the end-of-day liquidity reports and advise the General Manager of any distortions in the liquidity positions of the Bank.

- Monitor the portfolio of the Bank, publishing weekly reports to the ALCO and submit to the Committee recommendations for protecting the portfolio and/or enhancing its profitability based on market conditions, tendencies and economic outlook.

- Execute orders for the portfolio of the Bank as decided by the ALCO as well as clients orders, inputting the transactions accordingly.

- Monitor client portfolios and markets advising General Management of significant movements/ losses and recommending to clients (within MIFID) transactions adequate.

- Report any suspicious transactions to the Compliance Officer.

- Maintain a good understanding of AML Procedures.

- Report monthly to the ALCO, the estimated profitability of treasury, forex and securities transactions.

Job Requirements

- You have a master in finance

- You speak fluently French and English

- A first experience in a dealing room is an asset

- You are analytical minded

- You are ambitious and aim to succeed in the financial world
