Treasury Financial Analyst

Department: Treasury Department Tasks: - Interprets accounting data, analyzes reports and recommends action to be taken. - Prepares difficult journal entries, maintains complex ledgers, reconciles and analyzes specific cost account ledgers. Assists in the development and installation of accounting systems, cost accounting methods, procedures and controls. - Establishes and maintains property accounting records. Reviews the preparation of various financial statements, records and reports compiled by lower level accounting support personnel. - Prepares financial reports analyzing data for management review. - Calculates payments to regulatory authorities based on a review of contracts and regulations. - Ensures the balance sheet accounts are accurately stated based on compiled reconciliation procedures and agreement with source documents. - Enters monthly journal entries to properly record accounting transactions, ensuring that journal entries have proper back up to substantiate the entry. -Reviews financial statements for operating trends and results. - Develops automated Oracle routines such as mass allocations and re-occurring journal entries. - Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. - Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary. - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Position Summary: Responsible for performing certain day-to-day activities of the Corporate Treasury Department and maintaining, presenting, and reporting financial analyses to assist in Senior Management decision making. Major Duties: ?Assures debt and swap interest and principal payments are paid on time and calculated correctly. ?Inputs company wire transfers for approval as needed. ?Maintains daily cash forecast and reconciles with online Treasury management system. ?Maintains and reports on the company's Letters of Credit, which includes; issuances, amendments, cancellations, renewals and fees payments. ?Compiles financial and other support data for management reports, and presentations. ?Maintains bank participation and business relationship analyses. ?Provides analytical support to the Corporate Treasury Department for all capital formation activities including bank and public debt financing. ?Develops and prepares presentations for senior management, Board of Directors, and third-party organizations. ?Reviews calculations and reports prepared by the accounting department to ensure financial information has been represented accurately. ?Assists the Investor Relations, Accounting, Audit, Financial Reporting and Financial Planning departments with their analyses, reports, and presentations as needed. ?Works independently as well as part of a team. ?Communicates clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. ?Performs other duties as assigned. ?Has regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Skills Requirements: - Bachelors Degree or Equivalent - Accounting, Finance - - Generally requires 2-5 years related experience Requirements: Bachelors in Finance/Accounting or related field Minimum GPA: 3.2 Technical: Proficient in MS Office.
