Treasury Inflation ( TIPS ) Trading -NYC
My client is looking for a VP / Director level USD Treasury Inflation Protected Securities Trader who has traded the entire curve including TIPS to develop their USD Rates franchise. The role is with a global investment bank and to be based in their NEW YORK office.
Daily responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Market making / trading in cash and derivatives USD Inflation products including Treasury Inflation Protected Securities ( TIPS ), TIPS swaps, Inflation swaps, inflation bonds etc
- Independent trading in TIPS
- Work closely with other inflation traders to build my clients’ presence in the USD Inflation market
- Research, develop and propose trade ideas in TIPS and USD Inflation derivatives etc
- Create risk management and trading tools
- Manage day to day risk
- Expand the desk and develop the USD inflation franchise – visit clients, generate market commentary, communicate market information and trade ideas etc
Key skills required:
- 5 years independently market making in USD Treasury Inflation Protected Securities - TIPS
- Have a strong track record trading in this space, with very good PNL figures
- Ability to work under pressure and within an international environment
- Ideally eligibility to work in the USA
