PO Maritime has been operating in the maritime industry since the 1960s. During this time we have developed into a diversified specialist shipping and marine logistics solution provider with extensive experience in the provision of niche shipping solutions to a wide range of customers in the mining industry, private sector, defence industry, government and energy companies.
With the support of our parent company, POM is developing a growth strategy which will see us continue our expansion in many of the world's largest markets. To support this growth we will establish a treasury function for the first time and seek an innovative Treasury Professional to develop and lead this new financial capability.
Working closely with senior leadership, your key challenges will include:
- Draw on your experience and networks to negotiate competitive corporate, asset and project finance facilities
- Develop and implement an appropriate risk management policy in line with risk appetite
- Review and enhance all existing legal and policy frameworks impacting on the financial competitiveness of the business
- Review and enhance cash management and forecasting procedures
To be considered for this role you must hold a relevant tertiary qualification as well as a CA or CPA qualification. Ideally you will also be a member of the Australian Finance and Treasury Association. You will draw your insight from more than 5 years of experience as a senior member of a Corporate Treasury function and have acquired exposure to all of the strategies outlined above.
