Treasury is a key role within the GE Real Estate Europe Treasury team. There is a tremendous opportunity to work with, and learn from a senior experienced team of treasury professionals and support key transactional and operational aspects of this critical function. The role will involve significant interaction with the 7 platforms across Europe, and be responsible for driving improvement in key reporting processes and projects supporting Treasury initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
As a Treasury Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic treasury analysis and presentations for GE Capital Real Estate (CRE), including acquisitions, divestitures, lending and equity investments, new product introductions and projects to improve Treasury-related processes.
You will actively contribute to discussions and evaluation of business topics and potential Treasury impact for example match funding by investment type (debt vs. equity), by investment structure (fixed vs. floating) and for various syndication strategies (JVs and Investment Management).
Support CRE Treasury response to questions and data requests related to Treasury metrics, both for the Real Estate PLs and for Treasury. Work with platforms to ensure treasury data and analysis is accurate and complete.
Lead treasury reporting of key market portfolio data to the businesses, ensure PL compliance with treasury policies and procedures, establish review and control processes. As necessary, provide analysis, training and implementation of new and/or recently updated policies, procedures and guidelines.
Increase communication and create strong interaction between CRE and Treasury, including regular discussions with appropriate functional experts based on understanding the relevant Treasury aspects to support the business priorities and dynamic needs.
Co-ordinate European input to resolve action items generated by Real Estate ALCO, and locally prudentially regulated entity ALCOs
Provide transaction support to 7 platforms across Europe: identify and manage treasury risks associated with acquisitions, divestments internal transactions, particularly cashmaps, transfer pricing, intercompany loans
Support finance functions with treasury controllership, treasury operations and treasury FPA aspects
Support implementation of treasury tools and systems, refining documented processes as necessary.
Manage treasury projects - coordinate relationships with non-finance functions (e.g. Tax, Legal, Asset Management, Risk) to achieve project goals.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree
Finance experience, ideally treasury experience in a capital business, joint venture, or corporate treasury
Experience in financial analysis, accounting and reporting
Strong financial modelling skills (Excel)
Commercial Real Estate/Financial Services experience beneficial
GAAP knowledge GE accounting systems processes
Experience in creating and delivering business presentations
Strong team orientation with the ability to work successfully in a cross-functional environment
Excellent prioritization and organization skills
FMP grad some experience off program in FPA/ Controllership or CAS graduate
