The purpose of the role is to manage the Global Markets Product Control functions.
Role description
Treasury Middle Office Manager will be responsible to ensure that proper accounting procedures are followed for treasury products and ensure correct and consistent valuations of all products in accordance with procedures laid down.
Responsibilities include:
• Responsible for the performance of product control regionally
• Primary purpose is to ensure that the Balance Sheet is correctly valued with respect to current best practice and Accounting Standards
• To lead the day to day production of Primary Trading System sourced PL, PL commentary, attributed PL and off-market rate checking; and ensure that all output is produced in a timely and accurate manner, is fully reviewed before distribution to senior management and is completed to the level of Group best practice
• To manage production of all necessary and appropriate Fair Value Adjustments
• To ensure all Model Limitations are appropriately dealt with for both new products and existing products as market condition change.
• To manage a continuous improvement programme for all activities including increasing efficiency and controls through procedures/systems change process.
• To work with Business Financial Control to deliver a single view of the PL and Balance Sheet.
Who we're looking for
Qualified Chartered Accountant with at least 7 years experience in Treasury products and processes. It is highly desirable that the candidate have sufficient prior working experience of FX/MMK and FX/Interest Rate Derivatives, debt securities and related technical systems
