Treasury Services teams work to maximize client portfolio value using custom products and services that provide in-depth analyses of transactions, assets and funds based on client needs and requirements. Investment Services groups include Alternative Investment Services, Asset Servicing, Broker-Dealer Services, Corporate Trust , Depositary Receipts, Pershing and Treasury Services. Some functional roles include: Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, Portfolio Accounting, Derivatives Operations and Fund Administration.

Description

The Regional Market Manager serves as a Treasury Services representative in key geographic regions (LatAm and APAC), and is responsible for executing regional product strategy, market and proposition development, financial management, and providing multi-product expertise in different markets.

This position will support and execute Treasury Services regional product strategy and collaborate with clients, internal and external partners, vendors, and other constituents/stakeholders. As directed by the Head, LatAm and APAC Market Management Treasury Services, and in alignment with Treasury Services overarching strategy; the Regional Market Manager works to develop, enact and promote solutions that drive increased market share and profitable revenue growth for the region, on a global level, while mitigating risk. The position encompasses product revenue generation goal(s), cost reduction, and accountability for overall customer segment profitability.

The role needs to pair client needs and current products and services offered in Treasury Services, but also to recognize where there is opportunity for new product development to meet the client needs (innovation requirement). The role holder must also understand how a client treasury function works and recognize opportunities across LOB's when they become apparent.

Managing multiple projects will be key requirement of the role, and therefore the role holder will need to possess strong organizational, planning and time management skills. In addition, he/she will be required to work independently, develop and present clear and concise strategic and tactical requirements and define and manage execution. Excellent interpersonal, oral communication and writing skills is a must, as is the ability to produce effective and cohesive relationships with management, peers, staff, vendors and customers.

The role must be able to gather inputs, interpret and analyze data and articulate business, product and market requirements and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to a broad range of audiences, including peers, business partners, clients, and Treasury Services management.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should be detail oriented with considerable knowledge and understanding of TS industry issues, product set, market factors, competitor positioning, and Treasury Services industry resources. Essential requirements include:

- Expert transaction banking knowledge and experience in both the FI and Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI) markets including Banks, Insurance companies, Broker Dealers and Fund / Asset managers.

- Excellent product and project management skills relevant to the development and execution Treasury Services strategy in the LatAm and APAC region.

- A good sense, and experience in, solution and proposition development in the packaging and positioning of product capabilities into the LatAm and APAC market.

- Core knowledge of LatAm and APAC market payment infrastructures - Knowledge about the regulatory environment and how it impacts Treasury Services would be helpful.

- Knowledge of other BNY Mellon Lines of Business (LOBs) would also be helpful.

MBA or equivalent experience. MBA preferred. 7-10 yrs International Cash Management / 3 yr industry/segment. 10+ yrs International Cash Management / 10+ yrs industry/segment preferred
