TS – Escrow Team Leader Client Service Manager, VP – Chicago recruitment

This position is responsible for leading the Chicago based Escrow Middle Office team of 9.
The team's primary responsibilities include escrow contract negotiation, client on-boarding as well as ongoing escrow account management, claims administration and deal off boarding. The Team Leader is responsible for leading these efforts in a risk controlled manner that is commercially focused and helps drive new business through strong client satisfaction and employee engagement.
This position reports directly to a Regional Manager of
the Escrow Middle Office. This position partners very closely with Escrow Product Management, Sales,
Operations, Legal, and Risk Management in driving results.
New Business Activities:Responsible for assessing client needs and devising creative solutions that drive repeat business.Lead team in the review and negotiation of escrow contracts. Ensure that team is well informed and trained on all critical JPMorgan legal standards. Negotiation must occur in a proactive and professional manner that balances the need to maintain the risk profile of JPMorgan while also ensuring that the needs of the client with respect to responsiveness and timely closing are met. Key to this responsibility is legal training or extensive experience reviewing trust or escrow contracts.Requires strong partnership with sales to seamlessly onboard new clientsOwnership of client relationshipsEnsure that client satisfaction rates meet or exceed expectations via regular and active participation with clients (including law firms)Ability to meet business need for rapid turnaround and highly responsive serviceOptimize account profitability by maximizing JPMorgan fee and investment revenue opportunities

Risk Management:Maintain KPIs within acceptable rangesEnsure that ticklers, overdrafts, balances, accounts receivables and other key metrics are managed appropriately.Escalate issues to management as well as
risk and compliance partnersPartnership with Sales to ensure that all KYC requirements are complied with
Escrow Operations:Partner with operations team to execute core operational components of the escrow business.
This responsibility requires a strong knowledge of the following:
Escrow claims processing including objection processInvestmentsCash processing including wire transfer systems and check processingSecurities and Safekeeping experience (book-entry/physical, equity and debt)Tax reporting

Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Business or Finance, Masters degree or legal degree preferred10 years work experience in financial services environment; trust, escrow or treasury services experience preferredStrong management and leadership skillsStrong sales and customer service orientationStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent decision-making abilitiesDemonstrated problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational skillsStrong PC skillsAbility to work in fast paced environment
