Team DescriptioniDDA is a distributed vendor supported application (T24) which is being used by Treasury Services to maintain and run its Demand Deposit Account business.
This is the CORE JPMC Cash Accounting application for the International region. The JPMC International region covers (EMEA) Europe Middle East and Africa, Western Hemisphere (non Domestic US) and Asia branches.
iDDA is a multi-currency, multi-branch application processing batch and real time cash postings to customer accounts, calculating interest and providing reporting to customers and LOBs for various account types including Nostros.
iDDA Technology Operations is a Global Production Support team that supports the iDDA Application on a 24x7 basis from 3 core regions; UK, India and Hong Kong. The support team are responsible for managing responding to queries from the user community, resolving production incidents, managing the 90 close of business batches that run daily, supporting the Development team with deployments and focusing on Production Stability.
Key Responsibilities:Through your experience and knowledge of T24 within a Banking environment provide subject matter expertise to the Production Support Team. This will involve knowledge sharing and training members of the team, documenting resolutions to issues and making recommendations on how existing processes can be optimised.Working with a number of key teams including, Business Analysts, Architecture, Quality Assurance, Development and Infrastructure to get an end to end view on the Production environment. Build relationships across the organisation in order to understand the Application landscape.Resolve application specific (functional) user queries and production incidents, with a focus on Problem Management techniques in order to establish root cause. Make recommendations on how to permanently resolve
re-occurring incidents and see through to implementation.Play an active role in the support and management of the daily 90 close of business (COB) batch runs. With a focus on reviewing trend data to drive continual improvement on COB durations and reduction in COB related issues.
Fully understand the upstream and downstream interfaces to iDDA, in order to give direction during a production incident on the impact to a line of business of a late feed.Provide 24x7 oncall support on a rota basis and afterhours/weekend support as needed; covering application support, AD deployments, project releases, BAU checks/monitoring etc.Work directly with the Vendor (Temenos) onsite and offshore on resolutions to production incidents, in order to focus on production stability. Own the production defect tracker to show the number and priority of outstanding defects and documented work arounds. Take the lead to ensure the correct focus is applied on the key defects and keep the team updated on how to perform the workarounds.Develop scripts to automate alerts for work arounds and automate BAU monitoring procedures where possible.Work closely with the QA, AD and Temenos to make recommendations on T24 performance tuning of the production environment.Own the Production Support defect management process to ensure defects are raised, recorded with quality information and managed to resolution. Streamline the process of log gathering in the event of an incident. Produce regular status reports and articulate status to key stakeholders.Own the end to end Capacity Management process, covering the 3 tiers of the Application landscape; Web, Application and Database layers. Qualifications
Your Background:The candidate must have a proven track record of providing 24x7 T24 Production Support covering Application Functionality (Cash Accounting Module) and Close of Business batch runs within a Banking environment. This must include exposure to real time and batch message based applications with a middleware layer.

The candidate must also be experienced of working across the distributed infrastructure stack.
This includes the Web Tier (Webspherejsp), Application tier (UnixLinuxjava), Database tier (UnixLinuxOracle RAC) and Middleware Tier (SolarisWebMethodsMQ). Knowledge of SAN technologies would also be an advantage.
The ideal candidate would be an experienced T24 Production Support Analyst who is committed to production stability and continual service improvement. Previous experience of working in other technology functions such as AD or QA would also be an advantage.
Essential Skills:Excellent troubleshooting skills and can demonstrate a proven track record in T24 Production Support (ideally release 9 and above).Excellent technical understanding of T24 Application functionality, COB batch runs and underlying infrastructure stack.Excellent understanding of core components of T24 focusing on TC Server and TSM Server, and an ability to understand local customisation.Experience of interpreting and analysing COB trend data to drive continual improvementsExperience of Middleware technologies preferably WebMethodsIBM MQ SeriesExcellent verbal and written communication skills with experience of status reporting with senior stakeholders across Technology and the Lines of BusinessA self starter who can adapt and respond effectively to changing requirements and priorities.Excellent organisational skills with demonstrative experience in building relationships across an organisation in order to achieve goals.Domain knowledge of banking sector and cash accounting.Experience of working in a support team covering Incident, Problem, Change and Capacity Management.Experience of using batch schedulers such as Autosys.Preferred Skills:Experience of working in and with a global production support team.Experience of using Incident Management tools such as Peregrine Service Centre.Experience of supporting other T24 modules such as Internet Banking, Payments and Anti-Money Laundering.ITIL Foundation level qualified.Experience using Quality Centre (Mercury Test Director).Experience of defect and capacity management processes.About J.P.
