Temp-to-hire Accountant opportunity with global retail company- excellent opportunity!

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Month-end general ledger close in accordance with US GAAP/IFRS, including reconciling accounts, posting journal entries, and reviewing financial results

·        Posting monthly accruals, prepare fluctuation analysis, and perform financial research.

·        Perform treasury duties, including daily cash transmission, tracking of daily cash activity, and preparing cash forecasts and reporting packages.

·        Reconcile general ledger accounts.

·        Prepare business licenses and various business tax returns.

·        Upload and review statistics in ERP

·        Prepare audit schedules as necessary.

·        Assist with special projects and accounting research as necessary.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

·        Bachelor?s degree in Accounting/Business/Finance with basic knowledge of GAAP. 

·        At least two years of general ledger accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

·        Previous experience with treasury functions preferred.

·        Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office and complex Excel spreadsheets.

·        Excellent interpersonal skills ? able to work effectively as a team member.

·        Ability to pick up responsibilities quickly and work with limited direction.

·        Exposure and proficiency with SAP general ledger desirable.

·        Strong organizational skills, attentive to detail, and ability to multitask.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
