The University of Tennessee Health Science Center is looking for a Tuckpointer to perform repair and maintenance work on building exteriors, sidewalks, and roofs. Job Skills: Must be able to perform roof maintenance and repair work, including patching, coating, and replacement of ballast. Perform masonry repair work on building exteriors and other structures, including removing mortar, installing new mortar, installing bricks and/or concrete blocks, and installing caulking at joints. Apply waterproofing material to exterior masonry building surfaces from ladders, scaffolding, bucket truck, or other devices up to 120 feet in height. Perform parking lot maintenance and repair work, including patching, installing asphalt sealing, applying lines, and installing signs. Requirements: High school diploma or GED; 3 years masonry, roof repair, and paving experience. Physical Requirements: ability to lift and carry objects with assistance up to 200 pounds; ability to work at varied heights and to work in difficult positions. Must have a valid Driver’s License.
