Summary: Provide technical engineering and analytical support for the application of emerging UASs technologies to increase combat effectiveness. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to: (1) ** This position is contingent upon Task Order award **
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Overseeing the conduct of tests and evaluations of new and modified UASs;
· Testing and evaluating UAS flying qualities and performance, aeronautic and propulsion characteristics, avionics systems, UAS control and ground stations, and payload systems of developmental and production UASs;
· Performing a variety of UAS flight support, including UAS pilot flight instruction;
· Performing UAS Engineering Technician support for the design, fabrication, installation of specialized test equipment and instrumentation for a wide range of test disciplines (airframe, engines, data link, payloads); and
· Repairing and maintaining experimental UASs as required.
· Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Supervision:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
First-hand experience with operations and maintenance with USMC UASs. Such experience includes operational experience with the Dragon Eye Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), Pioneer UAV, Raven UAV, Shadow UAV, and Scan Eagle.
Additionally, experience with other DoD UAS is desired.
Education and/or Experience:
This position requires a Master’s Degree 10 years of progressive technical experience. or a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 14 years of progressive technical experience.. Additionally qualified candidates shall have the experience and qualifications similar to an MEU/Regimental or higher Logistics Officer who is familiar with current and emerging logistics concepts.
Computer Skills:
Must have advanced working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Outlook and SharePoint.
