UBS Bank of England Regulatory Reporting Analyst recruitment

Your job is within a regional accounting team based in London, focusing on financial reporting for regulatory purposes. The accounting team is responsible for ensuring that any UBS legal entity carrying on business as a bank in the UK remains compliant with FSA regulations - specifically within the Large Exposure risk and Capital Adequacy regulatory frameworks.

Furthermore, the team is responsible for monitoring the UK and European regulatory environment for potential legislative changes, and addressing the regulatory challenges that the development of new business, new securities/investment products and new markets bring.

Your job will be to assist the team responsible for the production of the daily, monthly and quarterly reporting. Responsibilities will include preparing and producing FSA Regulatory returns and providing management information for reviewing and decision making purposes. You will be required to work closely with product controllers and the financial reporting function to investigate and validate material variances. Additionally, you will also be expected to identify opportunities to further develop controls and processes to improve efficiency, reduce risk and aid decision-making.

This role provides you with the opportunity to develop an understanding of the breadth and depth of the UBS Investment Banking platform and the services/products offered to the European financial markets. Exposure to Finance senior management will give you the opportunity to provide input into the firm and its processes.

You should be able to demonstrate creative thinking and entrepreneurial spirit, thus allowing you to take advantage of UBS’s meritocratic leadership structure and career mobility initiatives.

UBS can offer you an environment geared towards performance, attractive career opportunities, and an open corporate culture that values and rewards the contribution of every individual.

We can offer you an exciting, fast-paced working environment, a culture of mutual respect and teamwork and the opportunity to play a vital role in our growth.
