User Interface Designer:

We are a rapidly growing product design and engineering team responsible for the creation and ongoing maintenance of front-end travel ecommerce platforms, enterprise-level back office systems, and travel distribution web services. We are seeking a detail oriented and versatile user interface designer to develop visual solutions that meet evolving business requirements.

The User Interface Designer is responsible for producing and implementing visual designs for both consumer and business-facing websites and applications. The position requires close cooperation with different business units, including Operations, Marketing, and Finance, to adequately understand and solve design problems. The User Interface Designer is expected to quickly iterate design ideas through rapid prototyping (sketching, wireframing, HTML prototyping, etc.) and create intuitive, pixel-perfect final interfaces utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Projects will range greatly in complexity, from advertising banners to complete enterprise-level web application interfaces that directly impact the company's ROI.

Job functions and Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with stakeholders to rapidly prototype design solutions
* Design user interfaces for web applications, marketing sites, email campaigns, advertising banners, and more
* Create working websites from visual designs through HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
* Work with the development team to communicate functional requirements throughout every phase of the design and development process

Requirements
* 2+ years experience in website design and front-end development
* Solid working understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (jQuery)
* Ability to multi-task and independently and accurately determine priority order
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Understanding of web technologies and how they are used in the development of web applications, including relational databases, PHP, HTML, CSS, and Javascript
* Must be self-motivated, reliable, and a committed team player
* Experience with the Jira ticketing and project management system a plus
* Familiarity with best practice design and user experience patterns for transactional systems a plus
