UK CEO/ Senior Business Development recruitment
A prestigious leading Asset Management firm with an Asset Under Management of $15 billion is now searching for a senior leader to take in charge of their UK office.
The fund management firm provides a breadth of investment products, covering traditional Investments, Absolute Return, Alternative Investments and Fixed Income with over 1000s institutional and private clients worldwide.
The investment management firm has built a great reputation within the European asset management community, with many of its funds' performance in the top quartile and strong risk management and investment processes.
With over 5% growths last year, as well as the development of new strategic partnerships, the firm now is performing relatively strongly in difficult market conditions. We now is looking to appoint a new senior business developer and CEO in London who will be responsible for our AM’s UK business, marketing and client relationship management activities. In his/her senior business development role, he/she will report to the Global Head of business development and the Group CEO.
The priorities for the role include:
- Develop the business plan/marketing strategy for the UK and possibly other European markets with a strong focus on the institutional segment especially the pension funds/Consultants relations;
- Take ownership and drive the sales and marketing activities in the UK and possibly other European markets;
- Acquire clients based on a personal annual sales budget, build high quality client relationships with new and existing contacts/prospects and consultants;
- Monitor the performance of client portfolios in order to maintain client satisfaction and stay aware of their needs, the market trends, and possible product demand;
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across the business including contributing to the production of RFP and presentations;
- Represent our product to clients and attend important events in the relevant market places;
- Increase visibility and favourable reputation in assigned markets;
- Act as the CEO of UK market and see in this role that all statutory, legal and compliance requirements are met and that the global policy and principles are implemented at all times.
Expected skills
- Proven ability to be agreed by the FSA as CEO of an asset management company;
- Broad based knowledge/experience in the asset management industry with a focus on pension funds and insurance companies; a successful experience with a top name would be a plus;
- Sales track record in the pension funds/insurance segment together with experience in dealing with consultants;
- Respected management skills ideally in multiple disciplines (i.e. Sales, Client Management, Product, Operations, Risk, Legal, Finance, Project Management);
- Ability to operate effectively in a horizontal organisation;
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
- Drive and performance-oriented with a high level of tenacity and initiative;
- Sales-minded, enjoying establishing new contacts and thriving upon sourcing and closing business opportunities;
- Despite his/her strive for closure, high integrity and ethical in business dealings;
- Education: university degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics or equivalent;
- English (native) ideally French or German.
