UK Corporate Financial Controller recruitment
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a highly regarded commercial property business based in central London. The business has gone through recent change and a UK Corporate Financial Controller position has been created.
The role reports to senior management, will have significant commercial input and be responsible for a London based team.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Having a complete overview on the corporate financial operations of the UK business, and being a key financial contact for the wider business
• Managing, motivating and developing the team
• Ensuring timely and accurate production of management accounts and other profitability analysis to the UK Board
• Meeting regularly with all parts of the business to understand their strategy and needs
• Overseeing the production of Group, Statutory and FSA reporting
• Co-ordinating quarterly budgeting, forecasting and audits
• Assessing new business initiatives and strategy
• Cost control
• Cash-flow forecasting
• Overseeing finance processes and improving them where possible
• Reviewing PL and Balance Sheet reconciliations and taking overall responsibility for the accuracy of the books
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CA) who ideally qualified in a practise environment. Previous expose to a property or construction business is not necessary. You will have high level liaison with senior members of the business and ensure a commercial approach is applied to the finance team, therefore excellent interpersonal skills will be essential.
