UK Investment Fund seeks Asset Manager
Overview
Our client is a UK focused Real Estate Investment Manager who specialise in the UK retail sector. Over the past few years they have increasingly worked in the distressed markets, restructuring assets through intensive asset management. The team is quite small which creates a great family working culture as well as heightened exposure to the assets. The group is also split between Investments and Asset Management but naturally there is a cross over and both teams work very closely together.
The firm has seen a great deal flow over the past few months, completing several joint ventures with European Real Estate funds looking to invest in the UK. Due to this increase in activity the team are looking to hire an Asset Manager.
Ideally they are looking for a dynamic, ambitious individual, who is able to quickly foster relationships with both investors and tenants. The role would largely focus on intensive day to day asset management and development of portfolio strategy so therefore any successful candidate would require 3-7 years of UK asset management experience.
This is excellent opportunity as it gives candidates the chance to work in a growing, entrepreneurial platform where they will not only have great access to the deals, assets but also senior management as well.
Skills/Experience
Strong academic record
Three to seven years of direct real estate experience
Highly numerate with excellent analytical and financial modelling skills
OK to make effective decisions in response to changes in the market environment
Excellent knowledge of accounting fundamentals
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel and real estate software packages such as Dyna and Argus
