UK & Ireland Sales
Job Purpose
1. Drive sales and business development effort for UK and Ireland
2. Identify, grow and deepen existing relationships particularly with the key gatekeepers within the top tier account.
3. Engage with key contacts and sponsors at the main institutional investors, educate on existing and new products, their structure, benefits, usage, etc.
4. Proactively seek new clients form customer segments including private wealth and banking, institutional fund managers, hedge funds, pension funds and insurance companies.
Key Accountabilities and Scope
- Sell ETF Securities products to UK and Irish investors and manage progress against annual gross creation target
- Have an active contribution to the development of existing relationships with key accounts and to effectively target new leads and prospects
- Provide quality support to clients and prospects by fielding, responding to and accommodating day-to-day requests regarding the range of ETFS’s products
- Schedule client meetings, completing the necessary preparation and follow-up, making full use of CRM
- Explore distribution agreements that may enhance the products penetration
- Attend asset management networking events to promote ETFS’s brand
- Organise teach-ins for existing and potential clients on our product range and their underlying assets
- Work with legal and compliance to ensure all regulatory requirements are met when developing business
Skills and Qualifications
Technical
- Have at least 4 years relevant experience and have a comprehensive understanding of the investor landscape and client base and therefore be able to quickly be an effective addition to the team
- Show an appreciation of the different approaches required for each customer segment and ideally has experience attracting and selling across all segments
- Show proven business development capabilities, winning new clients and demonstration of relationship management
- Have a good knowledge of the operational function behind the sale; in particular the impact of Capital Markets, Seeding, and Pricing has on the impact of an exchange traded product
