UK sales and business development director (Alternative funds) recruitment
Main Responsibilities will include:
• To drive growth of client revenue in order to attain allocated individual revenue targets.
• For developing and enhancing the relationship with the allocated client portfolio
• Deputising for the Head of Sales RM (as required)
• To develop client business plans ensuring the organisation can respond both technically and strategically to client requirements during periods of industry and product change.
• Exploiting a local UK presence as positive influence on clients and use as a tool to differentiate from competitors.
• Identifying and closing new organic sales opportunities ensuring that they fit with the full range of product offerings and managing the service expectation of clients against the product capabilities.
• Assisting in the creation of a referral pipeline from existing clients through actively promoting Services and seeking further client introductions.
• Driving the generation of additional revenue through growth and cross selling.
• Building close working relationships with other relevant sales, product and operational groups
• Understanding all business opportunities within the client base, including any competitor intelligence that is required with respect to those opportunities.
• Identifying potential additional client revenue opportunities and themes arising from industry change and communicate across UK Sales and BD Team.
• Generating sales presentation material (as required)
• Ensuring that strong and active communications relating to client activities exist across all sales, product and client service teams (CSTs)
The Successful candidate:
• Extensive knowledge of UK hedge funds industry specific experience is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Good knowledge core products of investment accounting, investment valuations, custody services, investor services and middle office services.
• Team player, excellent communicator and ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to cope with multiple priorities and coordinate the efforts of others in order to bring a process to closure.
• Ability to cultivate new relationships easily to develop new opportunities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and to tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of varied product solutions required within the client base.
• Understanding of product and market risks.
• Excellent relationship management with clients and colleagues.
