UK Small-Mid Cap Private Equity Analyst recruitment

We are currently working with a UK focussed Small Cap Investment team based in London who are searching for a Top Tier Investment Analyst to join their UK fund.

The Fund

The fund itself has a strong track record of Investments throughout the UK markets over the past 10 years with multiple funds raised. Their ability to Invest across the full capital structure has meant that over the past few years the team have seen a rapid increase in Investing activity. The fund is able to cover Growth, Distressed and Buy/Build opportunities and their ability to do so has meant they have weathered the recent Economic crisis well.

The fund is sector agnostic with Investments in Consumer, Retail, support services, engineering and media.

Arkesden Partners have been mandated by the fund to search the UK MA markets for entrepreneurs looking to move into the UK small cap Investment space. We are currently working with one of the Investment Directors within the 10 man Investment in London for their 2012 search.

The successful candidate would be expected to work across the full range of an Investment cycle with large amounts of responsibility being placed upon them from an early stage. The candidate will be expected not only to work on the portfolio companies but also to originate new investments for the team. Being sector agnostic there is a large scope for the right candidate to experience a very entrepreneurial environment.

Working environment is very similar to that of a Venture Capital house where they work across a flat structure and very meritocratic in nature. 

The Successful Candidate

The ideal candidate will not only possess a strong technical background and financial understanding of the market but also possess strong interpersonal skills to enable them to build long lasting relationships with both Investors and Portfolio companies. 

They will be consistently a top performer with strong grades from a leading University.

1-3 years of UK MA Investment Banking experience from a Tier 1 establishment.

The interview process will be a typical 4 stage process, which will include meeting the entire team, technical testing and meeting with the Founder of the fund.
